Bits of Diet Tips

"Diet???You must be kidding", says 'Never gain weight no matter how much he eats' male creature. Look around you, which female creature is not obssessed with the word 'diet'!!!...(Yes, I know there are exceptions)...

Formal dictionary definition for diet /'daiet/ n 2 a limited variety or amount of food that a person is allowed to eat and drink.

By now you probably would have tried different kinds of methods just to fit into that jeans you bought to motivate yourself. But hey you can look stunning in a one size bigger jeans of yours too.

Neway...had some lil bits of tips I read from some posh mags...
  1. Eat breakfast (never seem to work for me)...breakfast boost metabolism for the day.
  2. Eat 5 small portion meals a day instead of 3 huge ones.
  3. Drink unsweetened black coffee rather than indulging on a cuppa hot chocolate.
  4. Make Sundays diet-free if you are dieting the whole week. It has psychological benefits which helps convince your body its not starving.
  5. Apples, apples, apples. A research shows that one who eats an apple before every meal actually speed up weight loss (:S not quite interested in trying).
  6. Make orange juice your enemy. Make oranges your friend. Orange juice contain higher levels of sugar compared to a decent orange fruit.
  7. Don't eat only when your tummy calls for food. You tend to eat more.
  8. High fibre whole-grain bread is healthier and has an appetite-suppressing effect while plain white bread is an appetite simulator(ooo..).
  9. Eat yourself slim - chew food slowly and you'll eat less in the long run.
  10. A lil work out always help ;)...so sneak more exercise into your busy day by adding a quick five-min press up and sit-up session in the morning or at nite or any time you find yourself doing nothing productive. Studies show that raising your heartbeat twice a day as opposed to once results in bigger boost to your metabolism and burn more calories.
